Weather Art — Painting God's Skies

Memory Verse "He covers the sky with clouds." — Psalm 147:8

Learning Objective

Students will create art inspired by different types of weather that God sends.

Lesson Content

Look up at the sky! God makes the weather change every day. Sometimes the sky is bright blue with fluffy white clouds. Sometimes it is gray and rainy.

God sends sunshine to warm us, rain to water the flowers, wind to blow the leaves, and sometimes even snow! Every kind of weather is part of God's plan.

We can make art about the weather! We can paint a sunny day, a rainy day, a snowy day, or a stormy day. Each kind of weather shows us how powerful and creative God is.

Hands-On Activity

Choose your favorite kind of weather. Paint a picture of that weather! Use cotton balls for clouds, blue streaks for rain, yellow for sunshine, or white dots for snow. Show everyone your weather painting!
