Welcome to Standard Bearer Academy. By accessing or using our website and educational platform (collectively, the "Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use ("Terms"). Please read them carefully. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Platform.
These Terms apply to all visitors, users, parents, teachers, and students who access the Platform. References to "you" or "user" include parents and legal guardians accessing the Platform on behalf of minor children.
Standard Bearer Academy is a K-12 homeschool learning management system (LMS) providing curriculum, lessons, and quizzes from a conservative, Judeo-Evangelical Christian, and Creation-based (Young Earth/Biblical) worldview. The Platform is currently in beta and is available for free public access for content review purposes.
The Academy is not a state-accredited school, does not issue official government-recognized diplomas, and does not constitute enrollment in a formal educational institution. Parents and legal guardians retain full responsibility for compliance with applicable homeschool laws and regulations in their jurisdiction.
You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Platform for personal, non-commercial homeschool educational purposes, subject to these Terms.

All curriculum content, lesson materials, quiz questions, course descriptions, website design, and other materials on the Platform are the intellectual property of Standard Bearer Academy and its founder, Mike Mallek, unless otherwise noted.
The curriculum is made freely available for personal homeschool use. This free access does not transfer ownership or grant rights beyond personal educational use as described in Section 2.
Scripture quotations are drawn from publicly available translations including the English Standard Version (ESV), King James Version (KJV), and New International Version (NIV). These are used for educational purposes consistent with fair use principles.
Beta Status: The Platform is currently in beta. Curriculum content was generated using artificial intelligence tools guided by strict Biblical worldview requirements. While every effort has been made to ensure accuracy and faithfulness to Scripture, AI-generated content may contain errors, inaccuracies, or gaps that have not yet been identified and corrected.
Parental Responsibility: Parents and legal guardians are solely responsible for evaluating the curriculum content and determining its appropriateness for their children. We encourage all users to review lessons before presenting them to students and to supplement with their own discernment, additional resources, and direct Scripture engagement.
No Accreditation: Standard Bearer Academy is not an accredited educational institution. Completion of courses on this Platform does not automatically satisfy any state homeschool reporting requirement, qualify a student for college admission, or grant any recognized credential. Users are responsible for understanding and complying with homeschool laws in their state.
Worldview Disclosure: All content is intentionally and explicitly framed within a conservative, Judeo-Evangelical Christian, and Young Earth Creationist worldview. Users who disagree with this worldview should be aware that the content reflects these convictions throughout.
By using the Platform, you agree to use it in a manner consistent with all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations. You agree not to use the Platform in any way that:
Your use of the Platform is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. By using the Platform, you consent to the collection and use of information as described in our Privacy Policy.
As-Is Basis: The Platform is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the Platform will be error-free, uninterrupted, or free of viruses or other harmful components.
Educational Outcomes: We make no guarantee regarding specific educational outcomes, academic achievement, college admission, or any other result from use of the curriculum.
Limitation of Liability: To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Standard Bearer Academy and its founder shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Platform — including but not limited to errors or omissions in curriculum content.
The Platform may contain links to third-party websites or resources. These links are provided for informational purposes only. We do not endorse and are not responsible for the content, accuracy, or practices of any third-party websites. Visiting external links is done at your own risk.
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Platform at any time without notice. We also reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Platform after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
When we make material changes to these Terms, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review these Terms periodically.
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States and the state in which the founder resides, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation before resorting to formal legal proceedings.
