Our story, mission, and the convictions that drive everything we do
Standard Bearer Academy was born out of a conviction that Christian homeschooling families deserve more than watered-down, compromise-laden curriculum. Across America, parents are pulling their children out of the government school system and taking responsibility for their education — only to discover that most available curriculum still bows to the same secular assumptions about science, history, and ethics that drove them away in the first place.
Standard Bearer Academy was founded by Mike Mallek to fill that gap. The vision was simple: build a complete, rigorous K-12 curriculum that never apologizes for its Biblical foundations. One that teaches science the way Genesis teaches it, history the way Providence reveals it, and ethics the way Scripture commands it — from Pre-K all the way through 12th grade.
The platform is currently in beta, and the entire curriculum is open for public review. We are a community-driven project in the truest sense — relying on discerning parents, teachers, and families to help us review, refine, and strengthen the content so that it truly serves the next generation of covenant children.
To provide a rigorous, uncompromised K-12 classical education rooted firmly in the timeless truths of Scripture and a creation-based worldview; equipping the next generation to be unwavering standard-bearers of faith, freedom, and family within their homes, communities, and nation.
We are not neutral. We do not believe neutrality is possible in education. Every curriculum choice, every historical narrative, every scientific framework carries assumptions about ultimate truth. We make our assumptions explicit and unapologetic: God exists, Scripture is authoritative, creation is real, and history is His story.
The Bible is the inspired, inerrant Word of God and the final authority on all matters of faith, conduct, and truth. Every subject in our curriculum is filtered through Scripture, not alongside it.
We affirm the literal six-day creation account of Genesis. The earth is young, life was created by God, and evolutionary theory is rejected as incompatible with Biblical truth and the evidence of design in creation.
God is sovereign over all of human history. We teach providential history — the view that God's hand can be seen in the rise and fall of nations, the founding of America, and the spread of the Gospel throughout the world.
The family is the primary institution ordained by God for the raising and education of children. Parents are the God-given authorities over their children's education, and homeschooling is a noble calling.
Limited government, individual liberty, and Constitutional originalism flow from Biblical principles of human dignity, natural law, and the proper ordering of authority. We teach these principles without apology.
We are committed to academic rigor. Faith and intellectual excellence are not in tension — they reinforce each other. Our students are equipped to think clearly, write persuasively, and defend truth boldly.
Standard Bearer Academy currently offers 115 courses across 10 subjects, spanning all 15 grade levels from Pre-Kindergarten through 12th Grade. Each course includes detailed lessons, hands-on activities (for elementary grades), reflection questions (for middle and high school), scripture connections, and a comprehensive quiz.

In the interest of full transparency: the curriculum content was compiled using artificial intelligence tools, guided by strict worldview guardrails requiring all content to be framed within a politically conservative, Judeo-Evangelical Christian, and Creation-based worldview. While the AI tools allowed us to build a comprehensive curriculum rapidly, they lack the human discernment that only a trained parent or teacher can provide.
That is why we are in beta. We are inviting the homeschooling community to review the content, flag concerns, suggest improvements, and help us make this the finest freely available Christian homeschool curriculum in existence. Your partnership matters to us.
