Students will learn how primary colors mix to make new colors and connect this to God's rainbow promise.
God made colors! Red, blue, and yellow are called primary colors. They are very special because we can mix them together to make brand new colors!
When you mix red and yellow, you get orange! When you mix blue and yellow, you get green! When you mix red and blue, you get purple! God's world is full of all these colors.
After the great flood, God put a rainbow in the sky as a promise to Noah. The rainbow has many colors — all made by God! When we mix colors, we discover the amazing things God put in His world.
Use red, blue, and yellow paint. Mix two colors together on your paper and see what new color appears! Try to make orange, green, and purple. Can you paint a rainbow with all the colors you made?
