2nd Grade Bible & Scripture — Old Testament Adventures — From Noah to David
Students will learn the story of Noah and the Flood and understand that God rewards obedience and always keeps His promises.
Long ago, the people on earth had become very wicked. They had forgotten about God and did many bad things. But there was one man who still loved God — his name was Noah.
God told Noah to build a huge boat called an ark because He was going to send a great flood to wash away the wickedness. Noah obeyed God even though people laughed at him. He built the ark exactly as God told him to.
God sent two of every kind of animal to the ark. Noah, his wife, his three sons, and their wives went inside. Then God shut the door, and the rain came for 40 days and 40 nights.
After the flood, the water went down and the ark rested on a mountain. Noah sent out a dove, and it came back with an olive branch — the water was going away! When they came out of the ark, God put a beautiful rainbow in the sky as a promise that He would never flood the whole earth again.
Draw a picture of Noah's ark with animals going in two by two. Then draw a rainbow above the ark. Write Genesis 6:22 under your picture.
