Lesson Content

God made a world full of things we can count! We can count the flowers in a garden, the birds in a tree, and the stars in the sky.

Let's practice counting from 1 to 20. Hold up your fingers as you count: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10. Now keep going: 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20!

Numbers help us understand the world God made. When we count, we are using the order that God built into His creation.

Hands-On Activity

Count objects around the room. Draw groups of 5, 10, 15, and 20 items like stars, flowers, or animals. Write the number next to each group.
